France June 2018

It was around 1:30 when Val managed to make enough noise on her way to the little room to wake the dead! water bottles falling of knocked tables are really loud at that time!

Up, washed and car packed we had an early breakfast. There was far too much for us but we tackled it all the same. Goodbyes said we drove the short hop to the channel tunnel terminal and were soon on the way back to the UK.

I drove, for the first time since we set off for this holiday and the miles passed quickly. We got through all the usual bottlenecks easily, well it was Sunday, and stopped when we hit the A1 for a break. Fed, we continued finally arriving home around 3 in the afternoon, so ends another holiday, it'll be back to work in the next few days, but for how long I don't know. I do know we have a short break booked in August to visit Val's great uncles grave in Normandy...

...the next visit after that though!
