The breakfast was good, which was welcome as we had a long drive into Germany.
The first 200 or so kilometres went easily, the roads were reasonably free of traffic and the weather good. The border came up remarkably quickly and the Hamburg ring road was soon under the wheels.
That was when the trouble started, we sat in slow moving traffic for 4 hours!
Eventually we found or final hotel at Harsefeld. The Kino-Hotel is a family run concern, big and welcoming. Based around an old cinema the decor has movie hints. we decided that the film may not be for us so we ate in the bar. A couple of steaks and beers finished off a long day.
Finally we retired for a good nights sleep.
